The international media group, Tinopolis, have committed to new offices at 1 Smiths Square at the entry to the estate.
1 Smiths Square is the first phase of AXA’s three-acre urban estate on the site of Harper Collins’ former Hammersmith HQ just south of the town centre.
Tinopolis has agreed to take 30,000 sqft at 1 Smiths Square, where the ground floor is currently being converted into 5 new retail or restaurant units and construction is due to complete by mid-2016.
Both 1 Smiths Square and the adjacent building The Foundry were designed by architects TP Bennett, and between them will offer around 150,000 sqft (13,935 sqm) of new office space and 20,000 sqft (1,858 sqm) of retail and restaurant space.
Harry Badham, UK Head of Development, Real Assets, commented: “Assembly London has been designed as a well-connected, interesting, modern and collegiate environment with a range of office space to support a vibrant mix of occupiers. We anticipated it would appeal to workforces from the TMT and creative sectors and this letting to Tinopolis confirms that belief. We are very pleased to have successfully attracted such a high quality occupier to our London development pipeline, supporting the creation of value for our investors.”
