Brentford FC have begun to work with Willmott Dixon on the future of Griffin Park once the Club has moved from its historic home, and will hold a public exhibition to show the plans.
Griffin Park has Outline Planning Permission for residential development which was extended in March 2012. Willmott Dixon are preparing a reserved matters planning application which will detail how the site is to be developed.
They are planning to deliver new family-sized town houses with on-site parking and they have also committed to recognising Griffin Park’s proud sporting heritage and important place in the community through the inclusion in the proposals of a memorial garden.
The memorial garden will also honour the memories of Brentford supporters whose ashes have been scattered on the Griffin Park pitch.
The Club will be hosting a public exhibition of the plans on Friday 17 and Saturday April 18.
